Synoptic Media’s Liza Olson is a professional Story Analyst focused on delivering customized script analysis to meet each client’s unique needs. Her clients have included production companies, talent agencies, managers, financiers, and writers.

Liza was a Story Analyst for Netflix, providing coverage and scenes breakdowns on feature film scripts, books, and manuscripts. She was previously on the Acquisitions team at Osiris Entertainment where she sourced and evaluated completed films to acquire for distribution. Liza was the Vice President of Creative Affairs at the Los Angeles-based film finance company Great Road Capital where she led the sourcing and creative vetting of entertainment projects and assisted in business development. She has judged screenplay competition submissions for ScreenCraft and the Cinequest Film Festival. She serves on the selection committee for the EDU Film Festival in Minnesota.

Prior to working in the entertainment industry, Liza was a News Producer and Writer for NBC Bay Area, NBC's television station in the San Francisco Bay Area. She studied screenwriting and feature film development at UCLA Extension and earned a B.A. in Communication from the University of Minnesota-Duluth. 

Liza was a finalist in both the 2011 Creative World Awards' Sitcom Writing competition and the 2011 Hollywood Screenplay Contest's Spec Script competition, and a semi-finalist in UCLA Extension's Half-Hour Television Writing competition.
